So many quality pieces of kit (was drooling over Mac Pro tiling 16 HD streams at one time!!) It was also great to see so many of the big guns (Apple, Google, HP, Sony) turn out and wave their flags…

I managed to wanlge my way into the Quark launch event of their new product ‘Quark Interactive Designer’; think of it like a cross between flash and PowerPoint, but is far more simplistic to use. It also integrates heavily with QuarkXPress, and seemed to generate a huge amount of interest.

 I came back from the event sporting loads of goodies (Google sweets for one!) and also a subscription to MacUser (thanks to the rather attractive rep for the magazine that sold me a subscription!) and all in all it was a rather sucessful trip! i look forward to the next event!

Now you’re probably wondering ‘your last site was in flash; why no flash??’. the main reason for this is primarily due to the growth of Blogging and Netcasting (didn’t want to say ‘Podcasting’ as Apple may slap my wrists!).

I felt it only right to move to a platform that supported this. I didn’t want to build my own from scratch (as there are so many off-the-shelf products out there), so I opted for a WordPress based site.

I’ll admit, Flash could have done this, but it also has its drawbacks; i’ve built some great flash stuff in the past, and will continue to do so, but the progression to more dynamically driven software and hardware meant I had to make a choice… mobile devices really need to catch up with flash support (Nokia 770, PSP, etc.)…

COME ON MANUFACTURERS!!!!
